Satonaka-san and I were talking the other day, and as far as we can tell, nobody's organized a welcome committee around here. What with all the monsters and all the things newbies need to hear, we really ought to have one! Just to find the new people, tell them what's going on and walk them over to someplace safe like the high school, because getting chased by monsters on your first day sucks.

... So, I know I'm too new here to do it I don't think I've even heard everything yet but does anybody want to help us out by listing all the stuff new arrivals ought to know?

We're taking volunteers too ♥ People who can fight off monsters would be great!

That sounds like a good idea, actually! And there's someone around here that has a rather convenient list.. but I can't seem to remember her name.

I'd help out fighting some of the monsters, if necessary. And it might also be a good idea to have a "hotel room" set up for them on their first night until they find more permanent housing.

Patchouli Knowledge, I think! If it's the same lady who just apologized to me for not getting me the list...

...Hey, that'd be great! I sure can't fight monsters off with my bare hands. Maybe we ought to find someplace in the high school or a central spot like that?

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-05 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that would be her!

There's a martial arts school, if you want to learn. I'm one of the teachers there. And, yes, the high school would be the best idea.

Thanks, but I don't think martial arts are really my thing.... I'd probably trip and break an ankle, and around here, that lasts forever.

Do you know if there's free space there where we could set the new people up with a blanket and some dinner, or whatever?

Actually, I'm the only person in my double apartment right now. We combined two apartments together, but everyone....

[Minato trails off for a moment, then sounds upbeat again.]

Although it's a bit away from the high school--I'm in Latimir--it has electricity, running water, and lots of room. You can use it, if you want. I'm moving into another apartment with my friend, so I have no need for it.

[identity profile] cinnagami.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
...are you sure it's okay? I mean, that sounds like a pretty nice place.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
... There's no point in having a place that nice if you have no one to share it with.

I'm sorry I'm so late! Notifications on Tsu's account are failing me today.

[identity profile] cinnagami.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I guess so. And sorry to hear about your friends leaving.

:| Notifications are being a butt for a lot of people today.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, both family and friends, actually. I've still got people here, though. It's not all that bad.

Sob. Damn you, LJ.

[identity profile] cinnagami.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
That's right, I'd.... Well, friends can help.

:< LJ IS ON THE NAUGHTY LIST.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, they can. And they do. There's a couple of kids here that I practically consider my sons.

[He seems to have recovered quickly enough.]

I'll get the coal, you get the tar and feathers.

[identity profile] cinnagami.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, that's good! What are their names?

TAR AND FEATHERS? *AWESOME!*

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Zuko, Aang, and Kadaj. They're really different kids. Aang's an innocent monk, and Kadaj, well, isn't. They'd somehow get along, though, I think. I've pretty much adopted Zuko as my own, though. He's been through a lot, but he's learned much. I'm very proud of him.

[identity profile] cinnagami.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I've met Aang! He's a good kid. I'll have to say hello if I spot the other two around. ♥

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
He's a cute kid, yeah. Very friendly. And, please do! Zuko can always use a few more friends. ♥
